| Broadband Summit in Harrisburg
Sept. 20-21
The Commonwealth is hosting a two-day statewide Broadband Summit in the Harrisburg region on September 20-21, 2010.
The aim of the Summit is to advance the broadband agenda in Pennsylvania by convening a forum to: (1) Begin a sustainable dialogue among broadband providers, users and government organizations; (2) Determine what broadband challenges exist, and how to best approach them in a coordinated fashion; and (3) Provide a shared learning opportunity to identify and leverage broadband best practices across state.Space is limited, and registration numbers are climbing, so it must be stressed that REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED if participants wish to attend.

2010 Utility Colocation Forum a Success
The Utility Colocation Forum on Jan. 27 & 28 in Hershey, PA. brought together leaders and decision makers from across the wireless infrastructure industry and also featured a trade/exhibition floor. This year's event focused on regional issues and explored how the federal Broadband Stimulus spending affects the wireless community. The Forum featured speakers from state government, the PCIA, OEMs, wireless carriers, tower companies & owners, and of course utility providers. The issues ranged from utility colocation and the role it plays in broadband deployments to the new technologies that make these rollouts possible and how all of this figures into public safety and economic recovery. Next year's Forum will be held February 2-3, 2011 when the topic will focus on the SmartGrid. Don't miss it!
